Shelby Jean Sutton, age 75 of Sevierville, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. She was retired from the Sevier County School System. Shelby was a very sweet and loving person. She loved the Lord and her family very much. When you entered her home you were never a stranger but always were greeted with the love of Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hansel Carl Sutton; son, Johnny Carl Sutton; parents, George and Lena Vance; sister, Mary Louise Vance Prieto
Her survivors include:
Sons: McKinnly Wayne Sutton and wife Lisa, Paul Jeffrey Sutton, Robin Sutton and wife Trish
Grandchildren: Brad Travis Sutton, Chance Sutton, Victoria Sutton, April Stallings, Amanda Page Sutton who is expecting another great-grandchild in September
Great-grandchildren: Shelby Stallings, Seth Stallings, Kylie McClure
Best Friends and loving sister: Charlotte Nichols and husband Curtis
Special nephews: Tony and Tim Nichols
Many special friends and family including all the lunchroom ladies at Sevierville Intermediate/Middle School
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Sevier County Health Care Center for all the love and care everyone gave to Shelby.
Funeral service 7 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Miller and Pastor Hose Casinano officiating. Interment 2 PM Sunday in Union Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
