He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore Roosevelt Roberts and Cora Irene Roberts, sister Peggy Sue Roberts, and very special father-in-law Clifton Paul Kitelinger. Curtis Wells, Rev. Ken Stansberry, and Rev. Melvin Carr officiating. The body will lie in state 12-2 PM Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bethel Baptist Church ministers and deacons: Rodney Whaley, Garry Loveday, Delmar Thomas, Greg Roberts, John Smith, and Jason Patrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Bethel Baptist Church trustees: Alvin Davis, Allen “Cotton” Howard, Jack Howard, Ken Loveday, Terry Chaney. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Monday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
