Clifton, Laura Dell, age 75, of South Knoxville passed away, Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Hillcrest South Nursing Home. She was a charter member of Seven Islands Baptist Church. Laura was a loving wife, Mom, Nanny and Mamaw. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Elmer Ray Clifton; granddaughter, Tonia Johnson; parents, Hubert and Lola Hatcher; brother, Ricky Hatcher. Survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Janice Clifton, Dusty and Vickie Clifton; daughters and son-in-law; Debra and Benny Johnson, Robin Clifton and fiancé, Gene Bohanan, Angie and Roger Seagle; sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Charlie Henderson; sisters, Ila Webb, Brenda Smith and Karen Rogers; brothers, Ed, JH, and Otha Hatcher. Grandchildren, Suzi Ellison, Jacob and Brandon Clifton, Heather and Dustin Clifton, Michael Gray and wife Jennifer, Jason Gray and fiancée Christina and Logan Seagle; great grandchildren, Preston and Peyton Ellison; special friends, Harlan and Jewel Massey, and Jerrie Sise The family would like to thank the staff of Hillcrest South and Caris Hospice for their care and compassion.
