Jackie Cole Emanus age 81 of Gatlinburg, TN. passed away on April 10, 2015 at Ft. Sanders Sevier Nursing Home in Sevierville.
Jackie was a member of First Baptist Church of Gatlinburg.
Jackie was a very positive person and she had kept a sunny outlook no matter what her circumstance, always putting the needs of others before herself.
On April 9, 1953 Jackie’s brother R.L. Cole (USMC) was killed in action in Korea. A young Marine escorted R.L.’S body home to the family in Gatlinburg,
The young Marine was Steve L. Emanus, who married Jackie four years later. Their daughter Stephanie was born on R.L.’S birthday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve L. Emanus; parents, Tilman and Stella Trentham Cole; grandparents, Amos and Rebecca Ogle Trentham and Steve and Charetza (Kay) Reagan Cole; brothers, Lee Rex (R.L.) Cole and Jay Cole; sister, Peggy Lue Cole.
Survivors include her devoted and loving daughter, Stephanie Emanus of Sevierville; brother-in-law, Calvin D. Emanus and wife Jan of Prescott, AZ; many cousins and a host of friends.
Services will be held 7:00 P.M. Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Heard officiating.
Interment will be 11:30 A.M. Monday, April 13, 2015 in the V.A. Cemetery located on Lyons View Pike in Knoxville, TN.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday prior to the service.
