CAUGHRON , RALPH D. - age 83, of Maryville, died at 7 a.m. Monday March 20, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was a World War II veteran and served in the European theater. He was a retired land surveyor. Preceded in death by parents, Isaac & Rushia Caughron ; brothers, Lewie L. Caughron , Charles Roscoe Caughron and I.C. Caughorn; sister, Ilo Mae Caughron . Survivors: sisters, Mrs. Hugh (Trula) Emert and Mrs. Hugh (Juanita) Murrell; sister & brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs.J. Marion (Lorean) Nuchols; and sister-in-law, Mrs. I.C. (Jo) Caughron ; nieces & nephews, Mr. Charles R. Caughron , Mrs. Bob (Debra) Miller, Mr. Gary Caughron and Mrs. Doug (Gina) Staley. Funeral service 3 p.m. Wednesday March 22, 2000, West Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. David Webster officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
