ATCHLEY, HUBERT - age 82, of Maryville, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at the family home. He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church, where he was a former choir director and Sunday School Teacher. He also was a 32 degree Mason and Shriner, and a founding member of Everett High School Alumni Association, where he was involved in numerous activities, a Band Director of Everett High School, and a Guidance Counselor at Heritage High School. Preceded in death by parents, George and Theodoshie Atchley; five brothers, and one sister. Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Jackie Atchley of Maryville; sister, Grace Atchley of Maryville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2002, at Smith Mortuary with Rev. Charles Bryan and Chaplain S.M. Atchley officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2002, at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
