Russells to celebrate 35 years of marriage Douglas and Sharon (Whaley) Russell, of Maryville, will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary Sept. 7 with a family dinner. The couple were married Sept. 7, 1974, at Broadway Baptist Church, Maryville. The late Rev. Samuel E. Simerly officiated. Their family includes children William Russell, of Maryville, and Elizabeth Russell, of Chattanooga. Both Mr. and Mrs. Russell are employed at ALCOA Inc.
