  1. 1.  Alexander Bohannon was born 1774/1784.

    Notes:

Family tradition says Henry Bohannon had a brother Alexander Bohannon. In verification of this, a marriage record was found in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, "29 August 1796 ... Alexander Bohannon and Mary Hill. Surety -
Joseph Hill who consents for Mary. Married by Rev. John Atkinson." Alexander Bohannon and his wife, both born 1774/1784, appeared in the 1800 Federal Census of Pendleton District, South Carolina with no children. Also Alexander Bohannon and his wife Mary were members of the "Forks of Little Pigeon Baptist Church" in Sevierville, Tennessee in 1807 and received a Letter of Dismission in 1811. All these records appear to refer to Alexander and Mary Hill Bohannon and to support the family tradition. Alexander and Mary Hill Bohannon apparently left Sevier County, Tennessee about 1811.
