2. | Andrew Jackson Bradley was born 28 Dec 1817, Burke County, North Carolina (son of Isaac Bradley and Sarah Coxey); died 6 Feb 1891, Sevier County, Tennessee; was buried Trentham Cemetery, Sevier County, Tennessee. Notes: Andrew Jackson Bradley enlisted on 30 April 1838 at Valley River, Cherokee County, North Carolina as a private in Captain Thomas Angel's Company, 3rd Regiment of North Carolina Militia for six months duty. He participated in rounding up the Cherokee Indians and starting them on the westward journey to a new reservation in Oklahoma. This was the "Cherokee Trail of Tears." He was discharged on 6 July 1838 at Franklin, Macon County, North Carolina. His personal description at enlistment was: 5 feet 8 inches in height, grey eyes, auburn hair, and fair complexion. Notes: Sophia is spoken of as the "red-headed woman" in the family stories. It is said she hoped and prayed for a church and minister of their own in the community. Her hopes were realized when their son, William T. Ogle, became a minister of the Gospel, as did a younger son, Caleb Ogle.
