LEWIS - I need help with Cyrena M. LEWIS b. 12 Jan. 1833; m. James Evans 30 Jan. 1850. He died during the Civil War. Her parents were Levi LEWIS and Elizabeth Ballard shown in 1860 Sevier County census. It is believed they are buried at Boyds Creek. I believe James' father was John Evans but I cannot prove it. JENKINS-WILLIAMS - I am seeking information on the parents of John WILLIAMS who was born in 1798 in NC and m. Celia JENKINS who was b. 1794. They appear in the Sevier County Census in 1830, 1840 and 1850. John is listed in the Cocke County 1860 census and back in Sevier County in 1870. In the 1830 census, 2 females were listed in John's household who appear very young to be his daughters. Since Celia is 4 years older than John, I wonder if the girls were Celia's by a previous marriage. I have a genealogy for one of John's sons that lists John as the son of William "Billy" WILLIAMS who appears on the 1840 and 1850 census in Sevier County, but I can find no proof. VARNELL - Need information on a John VARNELL who lived at Boyds Creek in 1806. It is believed he was married to Margaret Shaw. Their daughter Hannah m. William McGauhey in 1829 at Eusebia Ch. in Blount County. Mitchell VARNELL m. Lavinia McGaughey in 1831 at Eusebia Ch.
