BRIZENDINE/REED - I am working on my family history and need info on my great-great grandmother from Cocke County. Her name was Nancy REED, born in Tennessee about 1832. According to my info sheet, she married Thomas Jefferson BRIZEND1NE in 1849. Their children were born in Cocke County. In 1864, the family was still there, because my great grandmother, the last of the seven children, was born there too. The family migrated to Missouri, and many of the siblings are buried in a small cemetery near the town where some of my relatives live. Any info/advisement would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if there are any fees involved and I will gladly pay them. I am enclosing a Family Group Sheet, which might be helpful in your search, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Thanks so much for your help. Sharon McAley, 112 Taylor Lake Drive, Troy, IL 62294-1298

FINE - While working on my family history I have uncovered quite a bit over the past fourteen years. Much can be seen at my Internet genealogy site “www.tribalpages.com”. User Id. gary2560, password, “garygenes”.

A proverbial brick-wall has sprung up, though, with my 4X-great-grand uncle, Phillip FINE. I wonder if anyone could help? I am enclosing The Family Group Sheet of his father, David FINE and his family.

What I have searched for diligently and am still missing is Philip‘s proof of birth ca. 1793 near the French Broad River, at Newport, Cocke County, Tennessee Territory. Thanks in advance! Gary M. Barton, 223 Rainbow Dr. #12358, Livingston, TX 77397.

INGLE/KNIGHT - Looking for information re: my gr-grandparents - Joseph W. INGLE born April 22, 1858, died Mar. 26, 1919. In Nov. 1878 he married Nancy Ann KNIGHT, who was born Oct. 6, 1858, died Aug. 9, 1928. Their children were Harrison A. b: 1879, James L. (Lloyd) b. 1882, Samuel Wiley, b. 1885, Benjamin H. b. 1888, Gilbert S. b. 1891, Hettie E. b. 1893, Dora B. b: 1895, and Garret Hobart INGLE, (my grandfather), born 1897. I have Joseph and Nancy 1NGLE and family in the Sevier County census in 1900. I am searching to find Joseph and Nancy’s ancestors. I would appreciate any help determining their history prior to 1900. Thanks. Jennifer Shepherd 845 Wellhouse Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32220. Email: shepherd88l1@bellsouth.net

WALKER SISTERS - My grandfather was a first cousin of the noted WALKER SISTERS who refused to leave their home when land was being acquired for the GSMNP. My grandfather lived on a neighboring farm. I am seeking information about the sisters to use for a fact-based novel. If you have any info to share mail to Terry Lawson, 312 Griffiths St., Syracuse, NY 13208. Email: tlawson@Twcny.rr.com

WIFE OF JESSE W. BREEDEN - Could someone give me the maiden name and ancestors of Sarah “Sallie”______, born 1889/90 TN. She married in 1905 JESSE W. BREEDEN who was born 1869 in Sevier County, TN. They lived in Knoxville, TN and had 3 children, Maude, Frank and Theodore. Thank you in advance for you help. God bless, Eva Harris, P.O. Box 126, Lake Como, FL 32157 Email: evanini@bellsouth.net

TROTTER - Need information on the TROTTERs of Durham, England. According to Mack Marshall’s “The TROTTERs from Perth Scotland to Sevier County USA”, Alexander Ruthven fled to England after The Gowrie Conspiracy and adopted the surname when he married into the family. Also what exactly are the Ruthven Family Papers? Gina K Fox, 935 White School Rd, Sevierville IN 37876-2447
