STAMPS Looking for fellow descendants of Thomas and Mary STAMPS of Fauquier County, VA. Althea Jane Macon writes that Thomas was born in Lancaster County, VA ca. 1700. Thomas married Mary Rose, dau of John Rose of Nothumberland County, VA. According to Macon, the children born to this union were: Timothy b. ca. 1728; John, (m. Rachel Gooding, Eleanor Dodson, and Leanna?); Thomas, (m. Lydia Duncan. Daughters were Hannah and Molly); William (m. Ann _____. He d. in 1792); George; Elizabeth (m. Lewis Tackett, had two daughters); and Mary (m. 1st James Allen, had two children. Then m. a Shackleford). I am descended from Thomas and Lydia STAMPS through their daughter Hannah, whose husband was Richard Keeble. Another source lists the parents of Thomas STAMPS, Sr. as William and Mary Byrd STAMPS. William supposedly died in 1748. Would love to hear from other STAMPS kin. Gina K. Fox, 935 White School Rd., Sevierville TN 37876-2447.
