THOMPSON - Looking for info on the parents of my Grandmother, Gladys Virginia THOMPSON, born in/around Sevierville, in June of 1904. Her mother was reportedly named Amanda Smith, and her father was Charles M. THOMPSON. I believe that Charles is buried at Red Bank with several Maples kin, but can find no reliable information on the side of Amanda Smith. UNAMED CEMETERY - Does anyone know anything about the UNAMED CEMETERY in the Bridge Field near the Towers on English Mountain? It was described in Sacred To The Memory: Cocke County, Tennessee cemetery records by Nancy L. O'Neil and J. Duay O'Neil, 1972. Is there any readable tombstone at that location? Could anyone give me directions to this location? According to the book, the family members of Bridges, Clark, and Rickards were buried there. Thanks. Steven M. LANKFORD - Seeking info about the family of John and Phebe LANKFORD who married Oct. 24, 1825. The family is in the 1850 and 1860 Sevier County census roll. Their children were John ( It think my gggrandfather), William, Vinson, Jane, Harrison, Mary, and David. In 1870 they are on the Jefferson County census.
