Notes

Lived on Yellow Britches Road at the Bogard intersection during the Civil War. Rebel scouts were prevalent in those days, son John would hide out during the day. The Rebels would come and force Rebecca to prepare a meal for them while children were sleeping.

Buried in Huff Cemetery.
