Notes
Nancy Jane Wests' grandfather, Francis Key West came from St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a race horse owner. Nancys' father and mother had to elope to the Indian Territory (Oklahoma) because her father, a preacher and doctor did not approve of their marriage. They were later reunited, though.
Nancy Jane was born near Mt. Pleasant, died near Gilmer and was buried in Needmore Cemetery.
