Notes

On 26 September 1863 Isaac enlisted in the Union Army and served in the 9th Tennessee Cavalry in Company B. He was captured at Clinch River on 28 August, 1864, and on 12 September 1864 was confined as a prisoner of war at Richmond, Virginia. He was moved to Salisbury, North Carolina on 9 October 1864 to the Confederate prison there. There is no further record and it is thought he died and is buried in Sallsbury National Cemetery.
