Levi migrated with his father to Jackson County, North Carolina. Levi went across the mountain to visit Uncle Archibald and married Synthia Henry.

Served with 'Thomas's Legion of Cherokee Indians and Mountain men' in the Civil War.

Buried in Old Savahah Cemetery.
