Grave noted 'In The Shadow of The Smokies', Sevier County, TN Cemeteries, published 1984. 'Mary Hardin b 20 Jan 1813 d 5 Jul 1904, w/o of C.M.' believed as 2nd wife of Calfrey Hardin (1808 - 1864). The census for Sevier County in 1860 shows Cafry HARDIN age 58 and Mary age 47. This 1860 census transcription included a section 'Maiden Names of some Women in the 1860 Census'; Mary DAVIS with husband Cafry HARDIN. It is believed the Mary Hardin buried in the Hardin Cemetery is Calfrey Hardin's 2nd wife Mary Davis.
