Moved with family to Wilkes County, North Carolina; thence to Newberry County, South Carolina with his brother Samuel. Newberry County, 1790 Census showed 1 son over 16; 2 sons under 16 and 6 daughters. Apparently he had moved to adjoining Abbeville County, South Carolina, where 1800 Census showed Nathan 1 (26-45) females; 3 (10-16), 1 (26-45).
