A Thomas Manes is listed 24 March 1871 charter member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Sevier County, Tennessee.

The SMHS lists a Thomas D. Manis born 22 April 1850 died 23 July 1918 buried in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
