Notes

John and Nancy were married by E.R. Brannan. The record is in the Blount County, Tennessee Courthouse. Nancy was John's second wife. He served as a Cpl, in Company B. 4th Tennessee Inf., in the Spanish American War. He was accidentally killed in a dynamite blast. John served as County Road Commissioner for both Townsand and Walland.

John and first wife Sarah Texanna Myers were married by T.J.P. Waters, JP.

Buried in Brickey Cemetery.
