Notes

Serving the Union Army during the Civil War, Redman A. Maples enlisted 22 September 1862 at Sevierville, Tennessee in Company I, 2nd Tennessee Cavalry. He served in 16 major battles and was discharged 6 July 1865 at Nashville, Tennessee. His personal description at the time was: 5' 8' in height, fair complexion, blue eyes, and brown hair.

Buried in Red Bank Cemetery.
