Notes

John Clabaugh and his family were living in the Great (Big) Pipe Creek area of Carroll County Maryland in 1760, as John served as overseer of the roads from 1760 to 1762.

John Clabaugh's name appeared on the roll of Captain John Carmack's company in November of 1775. John was listed as a seargeant. It is possible that John served in the Revolutionary War. John took the Oath of Allegience in 1777 in Frederick County.

John Clabaugh is not listed in the 1790 Maryland Census, but the exact date of his death is not known.
