Notes

Joanna Sims Ownby was born at Aspen Grove Plantation on Priddy's Creek. She was allowed a pension on her application executed on 13 March 1851 while resident of Rutherford County, North Carlina. She was buried in the Koon family cemetery near Union Mills beside her husband.
