There are numerous land grants for John Huskey in Tennessee State Library and Archives, Nashville, Tennessee.
John Huskey made six land entries dated from 15 May 1824 through 14 Feb 1826 in the Surveyor's Book No. 1 of Sevier County, Tennessee (Register of Deeds Office). These land entries were granted by teh state of Tennessee. All these lands were located in the Sugarlands, part of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Also John Juskey had four other land entries dated from 13 Feb 1832 through 1 Oct 1834 in the Surveyor's Book No. 1 of Sevier County, Tennessee (Register of Deeds Office). All these lands were located on the waters of Cove Creek in Wear's Valley of Sevier County, Tennessee. these entries joined the lands of Aaron Crowson, Frederick Emert and Reuben Hatcher as well as his own land.
They lived in the Sugarlands area before moving to Wear's Valley prior to 1830 Federal Census of Sevier County, Tennessee. They were listed in 1830, 1840 and 1850 Federal Census of Sevier County, Tennessee.
John Huskey is buried in Hatcher Cemetery.
