Elizabeth Jane Ragan was listed with her parents in the 1840 and 1850 Federal Census of Macoupin County, Illinois.

In September 1856 she moved with her parents to Phelps County, Missouri where she lived until her marriage.

Buried in beside her husband in Prescott cemetery near Houston, Missouri.
