Notes

Horatio served in the Civil War as a private in Co K, 2nd Tennessee Cavalry Volunteers. He enlisted at Lexington, Kentucky 16 Oct 1862 and was discharged as a Quartermaster Sergeant at St. Louis, Missouri on 31 May 1865. He was a minister of the gospel and lived at Sevierville, Knoxville, and Rutledge, Tennessee.

Buried in Middle Creek Methodist Church Cemetery.
