Isaac Lavator Maples earned his title as 'Squire' because he served so many years on the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for Sevier County, Tennessee from the 11th Civil District.

Isaac was named guardian of Ephraim and Callie (Bradley) Reagan's children James M. and William B. Reagan 23 February 1924.

Buried in the White Oak Flats Cemetery, Gatlinburg, Sevier County, Tennessee but later moved to Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.

SMHS lists death as 7 July 1951.
