Notes

Henry Peterson Ragan appeared in his parent's listing in the 1850 Federal Census of Madison County, Missouri, and again in the 1860 Federal Census of Bollinger County, Missouri.

On 31 August 1864, Henry Peterson Ragan enlisted as a private in Company T, 50th Regiment of Missouri Infantry Volunteers during the Civil War. He was discharged on 21 March 1865. These are records of his military service in the National Archives.
